Recently, our partner Ryp Labs took part in Fruit Attraction, the international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector, held at IFEMA Madrid.
 
Ryp Labs develops and commercializes biomimicry-based solutions for pre-harvest and post-harvest applications. Within the VINNY Project, Ryp Labs contributes its expertise in screening, formulation and prototyping of the Project's bio-based solutions, helping bring research outcomes closer to the market. 
 
In practice, Ryp Labs leads the development of the in vitro platform dedicated to screen the activity of new bio-based actives against grapevine pathogens, helping to identify the most promising candidates. It is also involved, together with the University of Minho, in the formulation and prototyping of the Project's most promising candidates in categories of biopesticides and biofertilisers.

 
Connecting research with industry is a key step towards bringing bio-based solutions to European viticulture.
