Vinny Project -
VINNY Project highlighted at ESB 2026
The VINNY Project, represented by researchers from the University of Minho, was recently highlighted at ESB 2026, the 35th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials, held in Antwerp, Belgium.
The scientists shared the Project's scientific progress and findings across three key research areas:
- "Boosting yeast antagonism: Wickerhamomyces anomalus encapsulated in chitosan-coated alginate beads"
- "From Vineyard Residues to High-Value Products: Advances in Bioactive Extraction and Nanoformulations Development"
- "Smart Nanoformulations for Biopesticide's Encapsulation in Sustainable Viticulture"
ESB conferences bring together researchers from fields such as chemistry, physics, biology, biomaterials science, tissue engineering and medicine.
For VINNY, the event was a valuable opportunity to foster scientific exchange and strengthen international collaborations at the forefront of biomaterials science.
