VINNY Living Lab brings sustainable innovation to Spanish vineyards
VINNY Project partner Toni Beneito hosted a Living Lab, effectively advancing the Project's mission for sustainable viticulture by bridging the gap between the lab and the field.
By bringing together approximately 25 participants, including technical teams and industry specialists, the event ensured that VINNY’s ongoing work is accessible to winemakers and the wider agricultural community, while firmly reinforcing the practical importance of this research for the sector.
To promote active collaboration, the agenda included a series of technical presentations and high-level discussions, prominently featuring VINNY Project partner AITEX keynote presentation focusing on the development of ecological nanobiopesticides and nanobiofertilizers. Additionally, the agenda featured specialized sessions addressing the potential of compound encapsulation and the vital role of innovation in modern agriculture.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in productive discussions and valuable knowledge exchange, highlighted by a round table. The panel featured insightful contributions from Toni Beneito, AITEX, EPSA-UPV and La Unio. This was complemented by an interactive Q&A session, fostering co-creation and gathering crucial feedback to drive a more sustainable viticulture and agriculture model.
This level of collaboration and shared vision concluded with a networking moment and a visit to the vineyard. This hands-on experience marked a significant step forward in showcasing how nature-based solutions are actively transforming vineyard by-products into high-value bioactive resources, accelerating the transfer of sustainable practices directly to real-world implementation.
